When I was growing up, my parents would pack the four of us in the car and jet off to an exciting new (or old) location for family vacation. The car was always jam-packed, and we would joke that we had brought “everything but the kitchen sink.” We took trips to the Northeast, the Midwest, the West, and California–other than Cali, our trips were very location themed. We would always find time to camp somewhere every year as well, pulling our pop-up camper behind the van with our bikes stacked on top. You can’t imagine the amount of strange looks on the interstate.
The travel bug has stuck with me, and now I try to go somewhere fun whenever I can. Below, find a sample of places I have visited recently:
- Provincetown, MA
- Chattanooga, TN
- Eastern Shore, MD
- Missourah (I’m allowed to say that because I used to live there)
- Washington, D.C.
